Greetings from the past, oh Internet lurker!
Yes, from the past. With any luck, you are reading this on or after May 29, 2014. I, on the other hand, am writing on May 29, 2013.
The purpose of this blog is to serve as a way for me to record and share my thoughts about life, the universe, and the meaning of everything. But I want to do it in a unique way... thus the time delay. I kept a journal when I was little, and I always love looking back at how I thought back then. This is the same idea, except that you, oh random reader, also get to see my thoughts from a year ago.
I also have a few other rules that may or may not help you understand how this is going to work:
1. No personal writing. You will not be hearing about me, except when unavoidable (because, hello, I am writing this.)
2. Posts will be posted one year from the day they were last edited. In other words... I can edit as much as I like, but then it sits for a year before heading out.
3. There is no guarantee of polish. Since the primary purpose of this blog is for ME to think about MY thoughts, and you are along for the ride, I will not be explaining the network of associations which result in random connections between things I'm thinking about. I will understand it. You may not.
4. Comments are allowed, and may be answered. Just remember, it's been a year.
5. I will post when I want to and have time to post. To break rule #1, I am very busy. This is a terrible time in my life to be starting a blog. If you like what you see, I'd suggest subscribing in some manner, rather than checking back.
6. I will tell you if I change the rules.
7. I am allowed to break the rules. (Yep, this means that I've just negated rules 1-6. Deal with it.)
